HAINES CITY - Ruth Copeland of Haines City, Florida died on July 9, 2012 at Good Shepherd Hospice in Auburndale, Florida. She was 83. She was born on February 8, 1929, to Finley and Josie Maynard, in Livingston, Tennessee. She moved with her family to Orlando, Florida in 1957. She has lived in Haines City, Florida since 1972. She was a homemaker and worked at the Haines City Orange Ring and the Haines City Cleaners. She is a member of NorthRidge Baptist Church where she served as a teacher in the pre-school and children's Sunday School for many years. Mrs. Copeland was preceded in death by Doy Copeland, her loving husband of sixty-three years. She is survived by her son Larry Copeland of Orlando; daughter Carolyn Sheek of Haines City; three grandchildren, five great-grandchildren; one nephew and four nieces in Tennessee. Graveside services will be on Friday, July 13, 2012, at 10:00 AM at Forest Hill Cemetery in Haines City, with Dr. David Myers and Reverend Harold Butler of NorthRidge Church officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to NorthRidge Church, 2250 State Road 17 S, Haines City, Florida 33844 or to Good Shepherd Hospice, 105 Arneson Avenue, Auburndale, Florida 33823.
