Leontine Laven Watts,82, joined her Lord in eternal peace on September 30, 2012, due to complications of diabetes. She was born on February 22, 1930 to Charles and Dova Redlinger. A graduate of Lakeland High School, Lee attended Polk Community College and was employed by General Telephone Company for 27 years, eventually retiring into marriage with the love of her life, James "Sunny" Watts. During their 32 years of marriage Lee and Sunny became active in the Florida Hi-Lofers, serving as chaplains of this organization for four years, traveling through the US, including Alaska and Canada. The Watts loved to sing Gospel music and provided music for the enjoyment of fellow campers wherever they stayed with their popular brand of duet music. She is preceded in death by her son, Doug Denham. Survived by her husband, James "Sunny" Watts, her children, Dennis Denham and Tom and Julie Gunter, both of Lakeland. She is also survived by her two brothers, Richard Redlinger and Eugene Redlinger, both of Jacksonville, along with sisters, Kathy Proctor of Washington and Marianne Mehaffey of North Carolina. Her step children, Karen and Drew Murphy, Jim and Debbie Watts, Bill and Nicki Watts all of Haines City, Evelyn Cloninger of Oviedo. She is also survived by 17 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren. She also has a devoted miniature dachshund, Lisa. A visitation will be Thursday, 10/4/12 from 10-11 am with the funeral to follow at 11 am at Oak Ridge Funeral Care, Haines City, FL.
