Robert S. Hsu

Robert Shao-Chih Hsu, 77, passed away on Friday, March 19th, 2021 at his home in Palm Bay. He was born on December 14th, 1943 in the City of Hengyang, Hunan Province, China to Yao-Nan and Ho-In Chang Hsu. Robert spent 4 years at Tunghai University in central Taiwan. After graduating, he set off to America to follow his dreams. Robert attended Brigham Young University in Utah and received his master’s degree in Chemistry. He then attended University of Utah in Salt Lake City where he received a PhD in Pharmaceutics. Robert loved music and art, particularly classical music. He also loved to travel and see the world with his wife. When he and Anita lived in New Jersey, they would frequently go to New York City to attend operas and go to the Metropolitan Museum of Art. They enjoyed spending time with their children and grandchildren. In retirement, they immersed themselves in ballroom dancing. Robert is survived by his wife of 48 years Anita of Palm Bay, Florida; his son Tim (Julie Hsu) of Denver, CO; his daughter Charlene (Manny Pata) of Jersey City, NJ; his granddaughters Victoria, Catherine, Charlie and Augie; two sisters and a brother, Li-Shiang Hsu Ho of San Diego, CA, Adam Hsu of Hacienda Heights, CA and Debbie Teng of San Jose, CA. Click here to donate To watch a live stream of the service please visit the link below: https://client.tribucast.com/tcid/635352703 紹熾1944年1月9日生於中囯湖南省的衡陽市, 父母為耀南與荷英。逝世於2021年3月19日在美國弗羅里達州棕樹灣市的家中，享年77嵗。 紹熾畢業於台灣的東海大學。1969年負笈美國。臨行前參加了台大舉辦為期兩個月的電腦程式設計研習班，結識郭渝萍小姐。他倆一見鍾情，情逾金石，互定終身。渝萍積極的在1971年跟進前往BYU深造，於1972年四月完婚。紹熾則於1976年由鹽湖城的猶他大學獲得藥學博士學位，啟步進入研發醫藥的工作領域。 紹熾喜愛音樂和藝術，特別是古典音樂，也愛與妻環球旅逰。當他與妻渝萍住新澤西州時，經常一起赴紐約觀賞歌劇或大都會博物館。他們享受與兒孫的歡樂時光。退休後，他們沉浸於國標舞。 紹熾與妻子渝萍結褵48載。他們有一兒一女，兒子元培和媳婦Julie暨孫女徐華和徐玲住科羅拉多的丹佛市。女兒元吉和女婿Manny Pata暨外孫女明和清住新澤西州澤西市。紹熾的同胞姐姐麗湘住加州聖地亞哥市；弟弟紹良住加州哈仙達市；妹妹麗華住加州聖荷西市。
