Valinda "Linda" Jacobs

HAINES CITY - Valinda "Linda" Jacobs, 63, of Haines City died Friday, June 21, 2013 at Heart of Florida Regional Medical Center. She was born December 24, 1949 in Lake Wales, Florida to Samuel and Ruth (Harnage) Howell. Mrs. Jacobs proudly served as a Teacher in the Polk County area for 29 years. She attended the Haines City Church of God and will always be remembered as a loving wife, mother and Nana. She is survived by her husband James Jacobs; daughters Beth Grimes of Auburndale, Jaime (Mike) Collins of Plant City, Valinda P. Jacobs of Auburndale and Angie (Jacob) Bolton of Spring Hill; grandchildren Arika, Johnathan, Zack, Andrea, Jordan, Julian, Krystalynn, Peyton; brothers Larry (Gail) Howell of Lake Wales, Preston (Wanda) Howell of North Carolina and Donald (Terry) Howell of Ohio; sisters Carmelita (Randall) Caswell of Lake Wales, Minerva Alford of Lake Wales and Pheylene (John) Caraway of Alabama; sister in law Peggy Howell of Lake Wales. She is predeceased by her brother Charles Howell. Visitation will be Thursday, June 27, 2013 from 9-10 AM with Funeral Services to follow at 10 AM at the Haines City Church of God. The family requests in lieu of flowers that donations be made in her name to the Haines City Church of God 1718 Melbourne Avenue, Haines City, FL 33844.
