WINTER HAVEN - Roberto P. Ortiz, 58, of Haines City died Wednesday, October 16, 2013 at Winter Haven Hospital from cancer. He was born December 6, 1954 in Mathis, Texas to Cruz and Elodia (Puldio) Ortiz. Mr. Ortiz had a great love of gardening and landscaping, and enjoyed working on Ford Mustangs whenever he got the chance. He attended at Haines City Church Of The Nazarene. Mr. Ortiz was predeceased by his parents and is survived by his wife of 35 years Donna Ortiz; sons Christopher (Angie) Ortiz of Haines City and Adam Ortiz of Haines City; daughter Amanda Walbeck of Winter Haven; brothers Cruz Ortiz, Jr. of North Carolina, Lupe Ortiz of Haines City, Israel (Abby) Ortiz of North Carolina, David (Theresa) Ortiz of Dundee, and Frankie Ortiz of Texas; sisters Matilda Zamora of Lake Hamilton, Stella (Charlie) Padilla of Texas, Dora Simmons of Davenport, Elodia (Ray) Wilson of Haines City, and Eva (Jerry) Lester of Georgia; and 6 grandchildren. Visitation will be Friday, October 18, 2013 from 5-7 PM at Oak Ridge Funeral Care Haines City, with Funeral Services Saturday, October 19, 2013 at 10 AM at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Glen Abbey Memorial Gardens.
