Joyce Jane Maki

Joyce Jane Maki, 67, of Lakeland, Fl passed away on Sunday, August 24, 2014 in Lakeland due to multiple system atrophy. Born October 17, 1946 in Martinsburg, West Virginia she moved here 3 years ago from Hawaii so that her best friend of 40 years, Cheryl Delos Santos, could assist her during her illness. She was of the Baptist faith and had worked as a bartender before retirement. Joyce is survived by: her husband Mark Maki of Pearl City, Hawaii; 2 sons, Travis Scott Johnson of Georgia and Sean Eric Johnson of Hawaii; 2 brothers, Wayne Johnson and Dubert Johnson; and 2 grandchildren, Lonnie Johnson and Chelsea Johnson; mother in law, Lillian Sakamoto, brother and sister in law, Colin and Colleen Sakamoto and niece and nephew Tricia and Trenton Sakamoto.
