March 3rd, 1921 - April 19th, 2015
Maxine W. Fleming, 94, of Haines City, Florida passed away on April 19, 2015 at Clare Bridge of Winter Haven. She was born March 3, 1921, to the late Howard and Amanda (Nuzum) Williamson of Columbiana, Ohio. She moved to this area in 1970 after 31 years as an Air Force wife, with tours in Germany, Morocco, Spain and numerous bases stateside. She was an RN at Heart of Florida Hospital and a member of First United Methodist Church both in Haines City. Preceded in death by her husband, Glenn E. Fleming, Maxine is survived by her daughters, Jacqueline Barnes, Margaret Smallwood and sons Jay( Peggy) Fleming, David (Diane) Fleming, and Paul (Jill) Fleming; 9 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. A funeral service will be held on Friday, April 24, 2014 at 11 am at Oak Ridge Funeral Care, Haines City with Rev. Pam Childs officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family requested memorial donations be made to Good Shepherd Hospice 3470 Lakeland Hills, Lakeland, FL 33805 or Humane Society of Polk County 555 Sage Road, Winter Haven, FL 33881.
