Robert R. Crittenden, 82, of Winter Haven, passed away on Friday, May 15, 2015 at Tampa General Hospital. Born July 27, 1932 in Nashville, TN, to A.J. and Elsie Demerich, Robert lived most of his life in Winter Haven. He graduated from Winter Haven High School in 1950, Florida State University in 1955 and the Florida University College of Law in 1958. In 1958 he was admitted to the Florida Bar and practiced law for 55 years, first in Tallahassee as an assistant attorney general, then with his father in Winter Haven, establishing the law firm of Crittenden and Crittenden. During this time he served as the City Attorney for Lake Alfred, Dundee and Lake Hamilton. He is preceded in death by his parents, Harvey and Elsie Crittenden. Robert is survived by his wife, Marjorie; three daughters, Anne (Bob)Lazarski, Mary(Suzanne) Crittenden and Susan (Ivor) Longo; a son, John "Bobby" (Mary) Crittenden; and four grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at 11:00am, Tuesday, May 19, 2015 at the First Presbyterian Church of Winter Haven.
