Winter Haven - Jacqueline Marie Amelie Whitten, 86, wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and great grandmother died on October 2, 2015. She was born Jacqueline Marie Amelie Tissier in Reims, France on June 28, 1929 to Suzanne and Maurice Tissier. She was a telephone operator at age 16 during World War II, married an American soldier and arrived in the United States on Valentine's Day 1946. She was a homemaker for most of her life, but had an artistic flare and enjoyed painting, crafts, music, dancing, singing, and traveling but most of all spending time with family. She was preceded in death by her parents: Suzanne and Maurice Tissier of France and son: Jeffrey David Anderson. Jacqueline is survived by, the love of her life, her loving husband Delbert Whitten, Jr. of Winter Haven; sisters: Christiane Tissier, Denise (Claude) Mauroy, and Micheline (Daniel) Bernard, niece Frederique LaHire (Patrice Fulgenzi) of France; children: Morris (Judy) Anderson of Monroeville, AL; Gerald (Ola) Anderson of Haines City, FL; Suzanne Mills of Winter Haven, FL; Josette (Douglas) Watchous of Auburndale, FL; Angelina (John) Gusha of Lakeland, FL; Alan Anderson of Haines City, FL; Sylviane (Duane) Geiger of Lakeland, FL; Phillip Anderson of Tampa, FL; Patrick Anderson of Lake Hamilton, FL; and Leila Murray of Orlando, FL; step-children: Richard Blackwelder of Haines City, FL; and Emma Kay Brown of Winter Haven, FL. Survived by grandchildren: Ernest Anderson of Bay Minette, AL; Richard Anderson of Bay Minette, AL; Richard (Shannon) Yentzer of Boston, GA; Christy Watchous of Auburndale, FL; Eric (Amy) Watchous of Durham, NC; Gerald (Cheryl) Moore of Haines City, FL; Vierita (Sam) Elliott of Fayetteville, NC; Roy (Christina) Moore of Auburndale, FL; Donald (Brandi) Moore of Fort Meade, FL; Jacqueline (Mark) Pekelnicki of Winter Haven, FL; Jeremy (Debbie) Geiger of Dothan, AL; Kim (Scott) Pittman of Mulberry, FL; Regan (Desiree) Anderson of Monticello, FL; Lacy (Josh) Smith of Haines City, FL; Christopher Caccamisi of Orlando, FL; Jennifer Wadsworth of Orlando, FL; Kasey Anderson of Elberta, AL Survived by great-grandchildren: Joshua Anderson, Loralei Anderson, Benjamin Yentzer, Ava Yentzer, Jacob Yentzer, Stella Watchous, Lorelai Watchous, Harper Watchous, Flynn Watchous, Brooke Moore, Meghan Moore, Chloe Moore, Kirstynn Moore, Samantha Elliott, Roy Elliott, Taylor Moore, Peighton Moore, Madison Moore, Liam Moore, Aurora Pekelnicki, Autumn Pekelnicki, Aubrey Pekelnicki, Aundrea Pekelnicki, Jeremy Ryan Geiger, Justin Geiger, Winston Magee, Haylee Magee, Della Anderson, Davis Anderson, Dillan Anderson, Layla Smith and Matthew Henkel. The service will be held on Friday, October 9th, at Oak Ridge Funeral Home, Haines City, FL. The visitation is from 10:00 to 11:00 AM with the service starting at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow at Rolling Hills Cemetery, Winter Haven, Florida. Following the burial, family and friends will gather at the home of her grandson Gerald Moore, at 380 Patterson Rd., Haines City, FL. We will all miss her beautiful blue eyes. She was genuine, had a great smile, a great heart, and unconditional love for her family. A precious life has gone from our sight, but will forever be in our hearts.
