Roger Dale Pate

Roger Dale Pate, 50 Born on October 24, 1965, of Eagle Lake, Florida, suddenly passed away on May 26, 2016 at Winter Haven Hospital. A celebration of Roger's life will be held at 7 PM Friday, June j3, 2016 at 393 West Gilbert Street, Eagle Lake FL 33839. Lauren Mercer will be officiating. Roger started working with Publix at the age of 16. He quickly moved into the family business at the age of 17 working side by side with his father, as a block mason with Pate construction. Together they built a great company that is known throughout Polk County. When Roger was not working, he enjoyed spending his time with family and friends outdoors. Hunting, fishing, boating, airboating, and playing cornhole, were just a few of his outdoor hobbies. Roger was the most amazing husband, Dad, Papa, Son, Brother, Uncle, and friend anyone could ask for. He never met a stranger and always had a smile on his face. He was dearly loved and will be missed so much by his family and friends. Roger is survived by his wife Audrey Pate, two daughters, Nikki and Jessica, Grandson Graeson Rizer, parents Jimmy and Shirley Pate of Winter Haven, brother Jim Pate and his wife Heidi Pate of Jacksonville, FL, and several nieces and nephews. Preceded in death: brothers Robert Pate and DeWayne Edward Pate.
