Mr. Charles M. Gederberg, 70, of Davenport, Florida, passed away peacefully at his home on Thursday, January 5, 2017. He was born on December 29, 1946 to Charles and Marjorie Gederberg in Queens, New York and moved to Florida a year ago. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran. He was retired from the New York City Fire Patrol and for over thirty years a volunteer firefighter / EMT in Floral Park, New York. He was a HAM Radio operator and member of Limarc Radio Club of Nassau County. He loved all kinds of music and his big extended family. Charlie is survived by his wife of thirty-three years Lorraine M. Gederberg. After his mother Marjorie died, his father remarried to Bridgette, his mother for forty-seven years. He is also survived by two sisters Jean Driggers and husband David and Lilyan Vock and husband Ralph, a sister-in-law Ellen Fusik and husband Harold, brothers-in-law Kenneth Tymecki and wife Karen, Philip Tymecki and wife Denise, and John Tymecki and wife Karen. He was a very special uncle to fifteen nieces and nephews, and twenty-four great nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be held on Sunday, January, 8, 2017, at 3:00 P.M. at the Haines City Chapel of Oak Ridge Funeral Care with Pastor Joel Johns officiating. Visitation will be held from 1:00 P.M. until service time. Memorials of remembrance may be made to Floral Park Volunteer Fire Rescue One Floral Boulevard, Floral Park, NY 11001
