James W. York "Jimmy" April 1, 1942-November 18, 2017 James W. York of Winter Haven, FL passed away Saturday, November 18, 2017. He was 75. A native of Milford, IL, born April 1, 1942, James moved here 61 years ago. He was the owner of York Stucco Construction, and he was a US Army veteran. James was preceded in death by his father James York, mother Leona York, a brother Jerry York, and his grandson Dylan Thompson. He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Patricia; his daughters-Pam Thompson, Denise Beach, and Penny Byrd; his son-Scott York; brother-John York; his sisters: Marcia Quayle, Myra Fussell, and Maria Sykes. He also leaves behind 12 Grandchildren, and 4 great-grandchildren. Memorial services will be Friday, November 24, 2017, 3:00 PM at Oak Ridge Funeral Care in Winter Haven. Condolences to the family can be sent to: www.oakridgefuneralcare.com. God saw you getting tired and a cure was not to be. So he puts his arms around you and whispered "come to me". A golden heart stopped beating and hard working hands at rest. God broke our hearts to prove to us that he only takes the best. Memorial service will be held on November 24, 2017 at 3 pm at Oak Ridge Funeral Home in Winter Haven.
