Antonio "Tony" Romero

Antonio "Tony" Romero was the first born to Jose La Cruz and Maria "Mary" (Lovato) Romero. Tony passed in peace at the age of 90 in Brighton, Colorado.Tony was a dedicated civil service employee at the United States Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs where he retired after thirty-seven years. His favorite position was issuing equipment to the cadets. Prior to Air Force Academy he worked at the Francis E. WarrenAir Force Base in Wyoming. In his pastimes you would find him enjoying an after-dinner walk, tending to the yard, tinkering with cars, or watching his favorite television shows. He spent the weekends having a good time with family and friends.Tony is survived by two daughters, three sons, nine grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, six brothers and five sisters. He was preceded in death by his wife, parents, two brothers, and many friends and relatives. Tony will be fondly remembered by his family and friends for his dry sense of humor, opinionated conversations, constant bantering, cute catchphrases, and gift giving.Family and friends are encouraged to sign the guest book by sharing a memory of Tony, take part in the Graveside Service on live webcast, and enjoy a picture slideshow, all found on the Tribute Wall.
