William Terril "Terry" Jones
February 22nd, 1963 - May 18th, 2020
William Terril "Terry" Jones, age 57, died unexpectedly at his home in Colorado Springs, Colorado.Terry was born February 22, 1963 in Beaver, Oklahoma. He attended school in Colorado Springs, Colorado, graduating from Wasson High School in May 1981. After graduation he moved to Forgan, Oklahoma to be close to his brother, Ron. While in Oklahoma, he met his future wife, Jami. They got marriedat Highland Park Baptist Church in 1984, where he had been a member for several years. In June 1985, they welcomed their beautiful son, Joshua, into this world. Terry went to school and became a licensed plumber, which was mainly his lifetime occupation. He worked for Olive Bark LLC at Arbor Pointe and several other Colorado Springs apartment complexes for the last several years. He was well respected for his knowledge and loving spirit at his place of employment. He loved more than anything spending time with his family, especially with his beloved granddaughter, Makayla. She was the light of his life and she meant the world to him. They spent a lot of fun times together. Terry was always there to help anyone who needed help, with a smile on his face. He was so knowledgeable, smart, and talented that he could fix anything, and he was so happy to share his talents. Most of his weekends were spent helping family or friends work on cars, home projects, lawn/landscaping, helping with moving and volunteering at the church. We cannot say enough nice things about Terry. He will be remembered for his infectious smile and laugh; he was a friend to all. He was such a sweet, wonderful, loving, caring, funny, kind, selfless, compassionate person, who was happy and enjoyed life. He loved nature and the outdoors, fishing, going to the mountains, car shows, football, working on cars, trips to Steamboat Springs with his family and road trips. Terry had a strong faith in his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He regularly stated that his most valuable possession was his Bible and shared Bible study readings and sermons with his son, Josh. He loved to watch Charles Stanley and sermons that Josh shared. Terry raised Josh in a Christian home with the teachings of the Bible as the foundation to their lives. Terry's faith was so evident in the fruit of his spirit and in how he interacted with all those around him. Without a doubt, Terry has a room made for him with Jesus in the home of the one Living God. We love and miss you so so much Terry, you will always be with us, forever in our hearts. Terry is survived by his son, Josh (Alisha); and his beloved granddaughter, Makayla; his Parents, Lee Anne and Stan; brothers and sisters, Ron (Penny), Curt (Erika), Polly (Mike), and Wendy (Dave); aunts and uncles, June (Bill), John (Judy), and great-aunt, Marlene; and numerous loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.Terry's family will hold a Celebration of Life at a time to be announced. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Terry's memory may be made to the GoFundMe account created for Josh by his coworkers:https://www.gofundme.com/f/m96tg-joshua-jones
