Michael N. Moore, 72, passed away on February 5, 2018 at Heart of Florida Hospital in Haines City, surrounded by his family. Michael was born on December 5, 1945 in Lexington, Kentucky to Allie Ray and Jewel Ellis Moore. He moved to Florida in 1967 from Morehead, Kentucky. A proud veteran of the National Guard and a co-owner of Moore International Trucking for 50 years. Michael was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He was an outgoing man, always looked out for others and helped people during hurricanes. He loved watching basketball especially when the Orlando Magic's or the University of Kentucky were playing. Michael loved riding his golf car and he would say "I'm going butterflying". He was preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Robert E. and Mary Kay Moore. He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Lana Moore; children, Kim Ann Tracy and husband, David of Frankfort, Kentucky, Michelle Lewis and husband, Jeffrey of Shepherdsville, Kentucky; stepchildren, Sara Conn and husband, Daniel of Davenport, Florida, Jonathan Crum and wife, Leslie of Winter Garden, Florida; brother, Ronald Moore and wife, Mary Lou; sister-in-law, Carol Moore; six grandchildren; seven step grandchildren; and numerous great grandchildren. A visitation will be held on Thursday, February 8, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. followed by a funeral service at 11:00 a.m. all at Oak Ridge Funeral Care in Haines City, Florida. Final Resting Place will be at Forest Hill Cemetery in Haines City, Florida.
