Karen "Kay" Batchelor

Karen "Kay" Batchelor of Davenport, Florida passed away on April 3, 2018. She was 60. Kay was born on September 22, 1957 to Herbert and Loretta Perry Sly in Haines City, Florida and was a life long resident of Polk County. She attended Oak Hill Baptist Church in Loughman, Florida and was very active in softball, whether she played, coached or just watched. Kay loved her time spent with her grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Ray Batchelor and parents, Herbert and Loretta Sly. Kay is survived by her daughter, Karen Michelle Batchelor; sons, Christopher Mason Batchelor, Anthony Palagonia; sister, Shirley Ann Sly; brother, Ed Sly; grandchildren, Ashlyn and Michael Bailey and Dylan Holmes. A visitation will be held Saturday, April 7, 2018 from 1:00 pm until the funeral at 2:00 pm at Oak Ridge Funeral Care, Haines City with Pastor Mitchell Johns of Oak Hill Baptist Church officiating. Memorial donations may be made to Cornerstone Hospice.
