Rose E. Pittman

Lakeland, Florida--- Rose E. Pittman formerly of Haines City, Florida passed away on May 14, 2018. She was 74. Rose was born in Kentucky on October 13, 1943 to William Lionel and Flossie Beatrice McHatton Mastin. She moved to Kissimmee, Florida in 1965 and in 1966 she moved to Haines City, where she was employed with Haines City Citrus Growers Assoc. for 40 years until her retirement. She was raised in the Christian faith and loved to collect things, bells, dolls and salt and pepper shakers, to name a few. Rose is predeceased by her husbands, William Leroy Johnson and Horace Pittman, as well as her parents; siblings, Bill Mastin, Lee Mastin, Robert Mastin, Mae Mefford and Brenda Gilbert. She is survived by her daughter, Linda A. and her husband Richard Batchelor of Lakeland; daughter, Debbie and her husband, Mark Owens of Lakeland, son; William Johnson of Seffner, FL; daughter-in-law, Tammy Walsh Johnson of Valrico, FL; grandchildren, Jenny Braden, Carl Owens, Kelly Johnson, Ricky Batchelor; great grandchildren, Hannah McAffee and Makani Braden. Visitation will be Friday, May 18, 2018 from 1:00 pm until the funeral at 2:00 pm at Oak ridge Funeral Care, Haines City with Chaplain Jack Hamel of Good Shepherd Hospice officiating. Interment to follow at Forest Hill Cemetery, Haines City. Memorials may be made to Good Shepherd Hospice.
