June Ross, 64, of Bartow, passed away on June 13, 2018 at home surrounded by her family. She was born on May 13, 1954 in Dublin, Georgia to James and Barbara S. (Freeman) Francis. June worked as an executive secretary for twenty-three years for the Polk County School Board where she later retired and she was an active member the Holy Trinity Episcopal Church in Bartow, Florida. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister. June loved making people laugh and spend as much time as she could with her family. She loved her family dearly. June owned her own motorcycle and she loved riding to many places with her husband Buford. She traveled the United States in her RV and visited many countries cruising. She touched many lives and she will be missed by those who loved her. June was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband of 40 years, Buford; daughter, Lisa Garner and husband, Tim of Winter Haven, FL; stepchildren, Steve Ross of Lakeland, FL, Jamie Ross of Auburndale, FL and Greg Ross and wife, Trish of Auburndale, FL; brothers, Dewayne Francis of Polk City, FL, Ken Francis of Clinton, SC; sisters, Cheryl Nelson and husband, Gordon of Lakeland, FL, Tammie Frazier and husband, Clayton of Fort Meade, FL, and Christy Wink of Jennings, FL; grandchildren, Jeremy, Andrew and Ian; step grandchildren Levi, Tessa, Nicki and Jennifer; and step great grandchild, Kanon. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 23, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at the Holy Trinity Episcopal Church in 500 W Stuart St, Bartow, FL 33830 with Reverend Becky Toalster, officiating.
