James Porter Warren was welcomed into Heaven by Jesus on Monday June 25, 2018. He was born December 30, 1932 in Lakeland, Florida to Orren P. Warren and Louise Branson Smith. In addition to his parents he is proceeded in death by his loving wife of 59 years, Betty Sue Warren. James served his country faithfully for 26 years., retiring from the United States Navy and was a long-time member at his home church, St. John's Baptist Church. Left to cherish his memory are his 5 children: Kathy Peterson, Lonnie (Debbie), Alan, Larry and Kim Starks (Marshall); 10 grandchildren: Scott (Emily), Sarah (Tony), James (Kelsey), Michael (Christine) and Rebecca (Josiah); Joshua, Jessica, Rachel, Sydney, Hanna and 12 great grandchildren: Hayley, Sarah, Cody, Alijah, Corey, Prince, Asher, Jocelyn, David, Madison, Brindley, Brooklynn. A Graveside Service will be held on Sunday, July 1, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Forest Hill Cemetery in Haines City, Florida. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Coastal Community Church's ALL IN Campaign.
