James "Jim" R. Craig

James Ray (Jim) Craig, of Winter Haven, FL passed away Wednesday, July 25, 2018. He was 80. A native of Jonesboro, Arkansas, born September 1, 1937, Jim lived in several cities throughout the Midwest, including St. Louis and Houston, before locating to South Florida in his 30s. There he met and married the love of his life, Kathleen Brescia Craig and started a family. Jim worked as a technical illustrator for several aeronautical companies and also worked for NASA where he created drawings for the Apollo Lunar Moon Lander. He retired from Allied Signal/Honeywell in the late 90s. Jim loved airplanes with a passion and was an accomplished model airplane builder and control-line flyer. He was also an avid sports fan and loved watching the Miami Dolphins and Florida Marlins. Above all, Jim was a family man and loved his family deeply. He is survived by his daughter Gloria Culpepper and her husband Gary; and his son Kevin Craig and his wife Natasha. Jim also leaves behind 5 grandchildren.
