Jose Jimenez
November 2nd, 1943 - September 22nd, 2020
Jose Jimenez of Haines City, Florida passed away on September 22, 2020. He was 76. He was born on November 2, 1943 in Guadalupe, Mexico to Abelino Jimenez and Glafira Herrera. Jose was employed for many years in the citrus industry, starting as a picker, but quickly moving up to crew foreman, he also dabbled in real estate and most recently he worked on the sod farm. He truly loved to be outside working, in fact he even had his own farm at the house where his love for animals was apparent with all the animals running around. He was a Godly man who loved his family, and he was quick to help anybody who was in need. When the family was asked how they would remember Jose, 3 words came to mind, “A Great Man.” He was predeceased by his wife, of 46 years, Maria Soledad Carranza-Jimenez; his parents; siblings, Benjamin, Eulojio, Antonio, Delfino, Teresa; and grandson, Marco Gonzalez. Jose is survived by his children, Maria Guadalupe, Maria Juana, Jose, Jr., Elizabeth and Teresa Jimenez; siblings, J. Refugio, Julia, Marta,Estela, Jesus, Margarita; 10 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
