Robert John Santiago of Haines City, Florida passed away Thursday, January 28, 2021. He was 56. A native of New York City, born October 18, 1964 to Jose and Anna Santiago, Robert moved here 15 years ago from Miramar, Florida. He was a Cyber Security Consultant, a U.S. Army Gulf War and Grenada veteran, and he was Catholic, and member of the Knights of Columbus. Robert was preceded in death by his brother Tony Santiago. He is survived by his loving wife of 29 years Margarita Bosque Santiago; his sons: John Santiago, Ryan Santiago, and Anthony Vargas; his brothers: Derreck Santiago, Nicholas Santiago, and Jose Santiago; and his sisters: Belinda Santiago, Alicia Santiago, Angie Hales, Rosemary Santiago, Maritza Tossas, and Davionne Wilson. Robert also leaves behind his parents Jose and Anna Santiago, and his grandchildren: Jasmine, Anthony Jr. (AKA A.J.), Amiah, Dominic & Jeremy. Funeral mass will be 1:00 P.M. Saturday, February 6, 2021 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Winter Haven. Visitation will be Sunday, February 7, 2021 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Oak Ridge Funeral Care in Winter Haven. Interment will be 2:00 PM Friday February 12, 2021 at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, Florida with military honors.
