Opal W. Roberts

Opal W. Roberts of Haines City, Florida passed away on February 21, 2021. She was 92. She was born on March 12, 1928 in Worth County, Georgia to Thomas A. and Susie E. Griner Walker and moved to Haines City in 1954 from Moultrie, Georgia. Opal was a terrific homemaker and a member of Haines City Church of God, where she was quite involved with their activities. Outside of her church she loved to sew and quilt, as well as spending time with her loving family. She was predeceased by her husband, Fred B. Roberts; parents, Thomas and Susie; siblings, Syble, Arcie, Margie, Billy, Neal, Mary and great grandchild, McKinze. Opal is survived by her daughter, Elizabeth Dorsey and her husband Randall; grandchildren, Jonathan Britt and, Cassidy, Jerrod and Caroline, Jeff and Kara; great grandchildren, Gavin, Austin, Jonathan, Emma, Paislee, Lily, Luke and Branden; daughter, Connie J. Withrow and her husband Jim; grandchildren, Carol and Damien; great grandchildren, Dustin and Marissa, Maddie; great-great grandchildren, Haili, Elijah, Elaina; son, Thomas W. Roberts and his wife, Brenda Lamb; grandchildren, Tisha and Chad, Crystle and Nic, Tommy; great grandchildren, Tamsyn, Ian, Tenley, Tyla, Raegan, Makenzie, Kylee, Kasen, Tyson; daughter, Brenda D. Ferguson; grandchildren, Jason, Trisha and James, Larry and Kymmberly; great grandchildren, Ciera, Stephanie, Jason, Jr., Emily, Chloe, Molly, Natalie, Evelyn, Kiyaah, Skarlette; siblings, Vernie, Joe, Muzette, Warren and Ollie. A visitation will be Friday, February 26, 2021 from 10 am until the funeral at 11 am at Haines City Church of God.
