Faye Pope

Joan Faye Pope, 83, of Lake Alfred, Florida passed away on August 12, 2021. Born in Winter Haven, Florida to Alvin and Katherine Ireland. Faye has been married to the love of her life, Cullis for 66 years. Faye previously attended First Assembly Church of Winter Haven before moving to Family Worship Center in Lakeland, Florida. Faye was in the juicing plant business all her life retiring 19 years ago. Faye enjoyed doing many things but some of her favorites included Sewing, camping, fishing, crafting, gardening, shopping , church, cooking, water skiing, boating with her husband, and being a social butterfly. Faye was known as Nanny by many people. Faye is preceded in death by her parents, Alvin and Katherine Ireland; brother, Thomas Ireland; sisters, Mary Francis Hawtin, Betty Wimborn, and Barbara Dunn. Joan is survived by her husband Cullis Pope; daughters Darlene (Rodney) Sutton, Beverly (George) Miller, Tammy (Frank) Moniz; sister, Marlene Burch; brother Charles Ireland; grandsons, Phillip Beasley, Chad Beasley (Angie), Joe Beasley (Raeann), Clayton Keene (Tonya), Ricky Blackwell; granddaughter, Terica Moore, seven great grandchildren and many friends. A visitation will be held Tuesday August 17, 2021, at 10:00 am at Oak Ridge Funeral Care in Winter Haven with a funeral service following at 11:00 am. Interment will follow the service at Auburndale Memorial Park in Auburndale, Florida. The family will be having a luncheon back at the funeral home following the interment.
