Eleanor Joyce King

Eleanor 'Joyce' King 86 passed away Wednesday, March 2, 2022 at Charter Assisted Living in Gainesville, FL. Joyce was a lifelong resident of Haines City where she was an Elementary School Teacher with 28 years of service. She was also a member of the First United Methodist Church of Haines City currently the New Horizons Church. Joyce was very family oriented; she enjoyed camping and especially loved the annual family trip to Little Gasparilla Island. A loving wife, mother and grandmother she will be dearly missed. Joyce was preceded in death by her parents Lawrence and Eloise Garrett and her husband of 54 years Lawrence 'Larry' King. She is survived by three daughters Karen Parrish (Terry) of Newberry, FL; Kindra Beck (Jeff) of Forrest City, NC and Kristy Warren (Wade) of Lakeland, FL. Grandchildren Kari Watkins (Kaleb); Brian Hamric (Cayleigh); Becka Goddard (Kevin); Blake Ruth (George); Bailey Beck; Dalton Warren; Avalon Evans (Jake) and numerous great-grandchildren. A visitation will be held on Saturday, March 5th from 2-3pm at Oak Ridge Funeral Care in Winter Haven. Graveside funeral service will follow at 3pm at Lakeside Memorial Park in Winter Haven.
