Tony Barnett, 75, of Haines City, passed away Tuesday, November 15, 2023, at his daughters' residence. Born August 19, 1948, in Crook County, Durham, England, he moved to Haines City in 2000. He was the owner/operator of Greenfingers Inc. Landscaping. He was an accomplished drummer and had been a backup drummer for The Who and a drummer for Santana. He spent 25 years working in the insurance industry and upon being made redundant, he started a restaurant, “Barnaby’s”, so his kids would have some place to work. He ended up employing many friends, all of which became like family. Preceded in death by the love of his life, Linda in 2015, he is survived by a daughter, Jessica Collopy of Haines City; a son, Oliver Barnett and wife Teesa of Haines City; two sisters, Valerie Crossland and Sandra Henderson; and two grandchildren, Julia Collopy and Logan Barnett. The family will receive friends from 9:00am until 10:00am, Monday, November 20, 2023, followed by services in the chapel at 10:00am.
