Betty G. Berry

Betty G. Berry, 96, of Winter Haven, FL went to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, September 28, 2022, at the Good Shepherd Hospice Forsythe Hospice House. A beloved mother, grandmother and great grandmother, Betty was born on January 16, 1926, in Lakeland, FL to John Wesley and Sadie Butler Goette and was a lifelong resident of the area. She was a homemaker and a longtime faithful member of Winter Haven Christian Church. Betty never met a stranger. Whether it was at the grocery store or in a line at Disney World, she could strike up a conversation with anyone, anytime. Her favorite pastime was baking, and she did it well. She was always anxious to please her family and friends with their favorite desert. She was preceded in death by her husband, William A. Berry; a brother; and four sisters. She is survived by three sons, Wes Berry and his wife Vicki of The Villages, FL, Wayne Berry of Winter Haven, FL and Dennis Berry and his wife Julie of Chesapeake, VA; Seven Grandchildren; and ten Great grandchildren. A graveside service was held at 11:00am, Monday, October 3, 2022, at Lakeland Memorial Gardens with Pastor Jim Reed officiating.
