Donna Ogburn

Donna Jane Ogburn of Lakeland, FL., passed away Thursday, April 25, 2024. She was 75. A native of Winter Haven, born February 11, 1949 to Bill and Inez Burroughs. Donna moved here from Jacksonville 10 years ago. She retired from teaching, her favorite career, after many years of bestowing wisdom and a love of learning in the middle and high school students of Jacksonville. Donna was preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband of 47 years, Ronnie Ogburn. She is survived by her son, Michael; her daughter-in-law, Amanda; her granddaughter, Rory; her sisters, Jan Strayhorn and Lana Burroughs. Memorial services will be held at Oak Ridge Funeral Care at 11:00 am on Saturday, May 4, 2024. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that fellow mourners send a thank you card to their favorite teacher or donate a book to their local school or library in Donna's memory.
