Dennis "Denny" Roger Dean

Dennis was born to Winifred M. Dean and Bruce V. Dean. He grew up outside of Waterloo, Iowa before moving to Colorado Springs, Colorado with his family where he made Colorado his home. He graduated from Wasson High School in 1963. Dennis served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War and then spent his life dedicated to protecting and serving his country and the citizens within his community. He pursued a career as a police officer in Fountain, was a reserve deputy with the El Paso County Sheriff's Office for almost 20 years, was an investigator for the 4th Judicial District Attorney's Office, Director of 911 for 3 years and spent nearly 20 years with the Colorado Department of Corrections.Dennis was dedicated to his family and leaves behind his wife of forty years, Sue Dean; his daughter, Shawna Dean-Kaufman; his stepchildren, Jamie Norris and John Cox; son/grandson, Brian (Megan) Dean; grandchildren, Kaitlyn Norris, Colton Norris, Tyler Dean-Vogel, Samantha Kaufman; and a great-grandson, Bennett Dean.
