Bernice Emily Aguilar

Bernice Emily Aguilar, 70, died June 11, 2019 at her home in Colorado Springs, Colorado.She was born on February 17, 1949 to Edumenio and Natividad (Gallegos) Aguilar in San Luis, Colorado.Bernice was a caregiver at Brookdale Assisted Living and a member of the Apostolic Tabernacle.She was a hard worker, a woman of faith and a prayer warrior. In her spare time, she loved watching The Golden Girls, Family Feud and Wheel of Fortune. Bernice loved spending time with her family and church family. Everyone that knew her knew she was a huge Broncos fan. She loved to joke and make everyone laugh. She always had a smile on her face and was always positive!Bernice had a way of touching the lives of everyone she came in contact with. Her caring ways made her a special friend for life.She is preceded in death by her parents; and brothers, Edumenio Aguilar, Jr. and Abie Aguilar.Bernice is survived by her children, Amy Medina, Gerald (Rosa) Medina, Corinna Medina, Emiliano (Mallissa) Medina, Christina (William) Cunningham; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; brothers, Leo Aguilar, Donald Aguilar and Henry Aguilar; sisters, Virginia (Jimmy) Sanchez, Delia Pacheco, Betty Garcia and Lorraine (Rick) Garcia; and numerous nieces and nephews.Celebration of Life, 12:00PM, Saturday, June 22, 2019, Universal Ministries of Truth, 2040 Jet Wing Drive, Colorado Springs, Colorado 80916.
