Richard Lee Baird, 91, died June 4, 2019 in Colorado Springs, Colorado.He was born January 18, 1928 to Russell Miller and Minnie Louise (Henrey) Baird in Hutchinson, Kansas.Richard was a veteran of the United States Navy and served in World War II. He worked for the United States Post Office for over thirty years. He started in the USPO as a clerk in Kansas and retired as a Postmaster in Breckenridge.Richard is survived by his wife, Joan Baird of Colorado Springs, Colorado; three sons, Kent Baird of Florissant, Colorado, Roger Baird of Colorado Springs, Colorado and Mike Baird of Colorado Springs, Colorado; his daughter, Catherine Lambert of Colorado Springs, Colorado; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.Memorial Service, 2:00PM, Sunday, June 9, 2019, Cheyenne Mountain Care Center, 835 Tenderfoot Hill Road, Colorado Springs, Colorado 80906.
