Richard "Rick" Conrad Harrington JR
November 20th, 1971 - February 5th, 2021
Richard “Rick” Conrad Harrington Jr. 49, of St. Petersburg passed away February 5th, 2021 at his home on St. Pete Beach. He is preceded in death by his mother, Mary A. O’Neil, and his nephew, Nathan Hall. He is survived by his Father, Richard Harrington Sr. (North Dakota), his only daughter Sarah Grace Harrington, two older sisters Terry and Tracie, and two younger brothers, Ryan and Nick. He is also loved and remembered by all of his extended family and friends, both near and far. Rick was born in St. Petersburg Florida on November 20th, 1971 and was a graduate of Manatee High School. Rick was a native Floridian, a lifetime Tampa Bay sports fan, and an even bigger fan of The Dave Matthew’s Band! He enjoyed attending many games and concerts with friends and family as well as collecting signed memorabilia. He especially enjoyed Tampa Bay Lightning hockey. In his past career as the rink manager at Ellenton Ice and Sports Complex, he had the opportunity to experience seeing the Stanley Cup trophy in person with his daughter, Sarah. He spent much of his free time on the beach with friends and family, going fishing, and watching Sarah play club soccer. Rick was uniquely sarcastic and loved to share his point of view through funny messages and jokes. He was well known and loved within the St. Pete Beach area and will be greatly missed by many. We would like to thank everyone who has extended their thoughts and prayers. We appreciate all of the love and support. Many have asked and shown interest in helping secure a future for Sarah. We kindly ask that, in place of flowers, you would consider donating to a college trust fund for her that has been set up by his longtime friends, The Amos Family. You can make checks payable to: Sarah Grace Harrington Trust 6853 16th Place North #727 St.Pete, FL 33710 There will be information regarding a benefit and a celebration of life in the next couple of weeks. Hope to see you there so we can celebrate Rick's life together!
