Paula Jo Presley Everly

Paula Jo Presley Everly, beloved mother, grandmother, wife, sister and friend, passed away on February 24, 2019 in Colorado Springs, Colorado to be with her Lord, Jesus Christ. She was born in Stratford, Texas on June 2, 1943, the oldest of five children and born to the late Paul and Jewel Rita Spruell. Paula Jo moved to Dumas, Texas where she graduated from Dumas High School. After high school, she moved to Dallas, Texas and worked for Texas Instruments. She married the late Joel Presley on September 3, 1977 and had a daughter, Dawn Presley Culbertson, in 1980. In 1983 her family moved to Lubbock, Texas where they owned Karpet Keeper until they moved to Colorado Springs, Colorado in 1994. Joel Presley passed in April 2004. She married Harry Everly, Jr. in June 2006. Family and friends were extremely important in her life and she loved to travel, especially on cruises. Paula Jo is preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Jewel Rita Spruell (Dumas, Texas); husband, Joel Presley (Colorado Springs, Colorado); brother, Billy Spruell (Dumas, Texas); and brother-in-law, Jack Peterson (Dumas, Texas). She leaves behind to cherish her memory, husband, Harry Everly; daughter, Dawn Culbertson; son-in-law, Joey Culbertson; grandchildren, Brayton Culbertson, Lathen Culbertson; siblings, Debbie Peterson (Dumas, Texas), Suzie Bradberry (Canyon, Texas), Terry Spruell (Fritch, Texas); many nieces and nephews; step-daughters, Jan Adrian (Louisville, Texas) and Teri Presley (Miami, Florida); step-grandchildren, Brandi Dobson (Burleson, Texas), Richard Grayson, Taia Butcher (Miami, Florida) and Zhon Butcher (Boston, Massachusetts); extended family, Joe and Pat Culbertson, Jane Adams, Quintyn Adams, McQella Adams, Keaton Adams, Elliana Adams, Liam Adams, and Jana Malatino (Tampa, Florida); along with many close friends.
