John J. LeBlanc of St. Petersburg Florida died peacefully in his sleep on Monday, August 7, 2023. He was born in New Brunswick, Canada on April 4,1943 to a large and loving family. He was predeceased by his parents, Alderic and Delia (Legere) LeBlanc and came to this country as a young boy beginning his education at St. Cecilia’s school in Leominster where he first learned English. He leaves four children, Cindy Charon (LeBlanc) of Leominster, Donna Crowley (LeBlanc) of Paxton, Michele Lavin (LeBlanc) and her husband Kevin of Princeton, and Kevin LeBlanc of Fayetteville, Arkansas. He also leaves six grandchildren Brianna, Wesley, Alexander, Zachary, Samuel and Monique and one great granddaughter Alina. He was predeceased by his grandson Tyler. John is survived by two sisters, Marguerite (Meg) Iacobone of Leominster, Linda Schwan of Grand Forks, ND, and one brother Andre LeBlanc of Holiday, Florida. He was also predeceased by five brothers, Clarence LeBlanc of Louisville, Kentucky, Roger LeBlanc of New Ipswich, NH, Norman LeBlanc of New Brunswick, Canada, Gerald LeBlanc of Athol, Raymond LeBlanc of Banning, CA, and five sisters, Theresa Doucet of Leominster, Dorella Gordon of Fitchburg, Jeannette Miller of Leominster, Stella Graham of Leominster, and Gloria Lefebvre of Leominster. John was a laborer in his early years and began several concrete foundation companies before leaving the area for the south. For many years he lived on his farm in Ashby where he fostered a lifelong love of horses. He owned many including Draft horses which he used to entertain family and friends on hay and sleigh rides, and to participate in logging and pulling events at county fairs. He was a lover of music and was never far from his guitar. He was also an avid outdoorsman hiking the Appalachian Trail in 2002 with his son Kevin. He had an interest in the history of the Civil War, the American West and enjoyed watching westerns. Services will be held at a later date when he is laid to rest with his beloved parents in Leominster.
