Laura Ilene Parker

Laura Ilene (Snow) Parker, 61, passed unexpectedly on Friday, December 14, 2018 in her home, in Colorado Springs, Colorado.She was born into a military family in Queens, New York on May 31, 1957. She traveled often as a part of her father's call to serve.Due to the death of their parents, Laura and her sister were raised by their grandmother, Tennie (Griffin) Davis. She grew up in Cleveland, Texas and spent the majority of her life in Texas.Laura worked in the Houston metropolitan area and a new beginning sprung forth for her when she married, in 1984 and had three children.In 1999, Laura moved to Colorado eventually settling in Colorado Springs where she lived out the remainder of her days.She was a strong, independent woman who first and foremost loved her family, enjoyed playing video games, and adored her cat, Loki.You would always find her with a Dr. Pepper, skittles, and an arts crafts project in progress.From cross-stitch to cooking to building her own computer, she was a jack of all trades and full of surprises. She had an adventurous soul that will continue to inspire all those hearts she touched over the course of her life.Laura is preceded in death by her grandmother, Tennie (Griffin) Davis; father, William Junior Snow; and her mother, Julia Ellen (Davis) Snow.Laura is lovingly remembered by her three children, Rena Ann "Annie" (Brian Lee) Moore, Sharya Fatima "Sherrie" Qureshi, and Humza Ahmad (Lauryn Richelle) Qureshi; grandson, Christofer Ahmad Qureshi; granddaughter, Ameera Ellen Qureshi. She will also be fondly remembered by her aunts, Ruth Gunn, Frances Kittrell, and Zelda Mae Parker; sister, Valencia Lena (Snow) Smith; and brother, Michael "Mike" Snow.Laura loved with all her heart.Her children, family, and all who loved her will forever cherish her memory and miss her in their lives.
