Robert "Bobby" Lee Martinez

Robert "Bobby" Lee Martinez, beloved son, brother and father, entered Heaven's gates the morning of October 22, 2018 surrounded by his loved ones.Bobby was born on August 1, 1963 in Gardner, Colorado to Maria Dorothy Hernandez. He called Colorado Springs his home ever since the age of five. His favorite time of year was football season when he could have a cold beer and watch the Denver Broncos. Bobby's happiness came from the time he spent with family and friends. He was always the first to help them out when needed. He volunteered at Meadows Park Community Center. Bobby recently took up the hobby of rock collecting and enjoyed painting them as well. He loved his oldies, walked everywhere, and he loved and was loved by his neighborhood that he grew up in, called "The Meadows". He can be remembered by his favorite sayings, "Who Loves You? Bobby Loves you", "He He, Hoo Hoo" and "Say No More". He will truly be missed by all that knew him. We love you Bobby! Bobby is survived by his mother, Maria Dorothy (Dionicio) Hernandez; son, Angelo (Roselie) Segura; daughter, Cherie Martinez; brothers, Darrel Abila, Daniel Hernandez, Rudy (Sophia) Hernandez and Ernest (Anna) Martinez; sisters, Arleen (Faustino) Roacho, Barbara Carmona; three grandchildren, Pricilla, Noah, and Esther Ann; and many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Bobby will be greeted home by his grandparents, Santiago and Pomosena Martinez, and many other family members. We want to give special thank you to the nurses at Abode Hospice.
