Laure Alexis Stevenson

Laure Alexis Stevenson, 57, of Colorado Springs, Colorado, fell asleep peacefully on November 6, 2017. She was born to John and Lorraine Stevenson on June 27, 1960 in Cambridge, Massachusetts.Laure spent her childhood and early adult years living and working as a legal secretary in Boston and Cambridge, Massachusetts. A missionary program with The Way International brought her to South Carolina in 1982, where she met her husband of twenty-five years. Throughout her marriage, Laure served as a military spouse - moving around the country and abroad before settling down in Colorado. As a stay-at-home mother, Laure raised three children and watched them grow into adulthood. Her devotion to spread God's word lead her on another missionary program to Indiana from 2016 to 2017. Following that, she returned back to Colorado and lived with close friends.Laure's pride and joy were her children. She is survived by her son, Samuel Melcher; and two daughters, Arielle (Edwin) Melcher, and Alexandra (Vincent) Fontes; her sister, Shirley Roy; and her nieces and nephews; Maggie, Miles, Abby, and Lani Roy.Laure will be remembered as a loving mother, sister, aunt, friend to many, and above all else - a steadfast believer and witnesser of our Lord and Savior - Jesus Christ.
