Julia "Julie" Martha Robben
August 30th, 1931 - July 19th, 2017
Julie M. Robben of Colorado Springs, Colorado, born in Park, Kansas to the late Martha and James Zerr on August 30, 1931, passed away on July 19, 2017. The matriarch of a large family, she was married on August 30, 1948 to the late Linus C. Robben (1993). The Robben's raised their four children in the Pikes Peak Region. She is survived by three children, all of whom reside in the Colorado Springs area: Myra L. (James) Montoya, Daryl (Debbie) Robben, and Sandra (David) Robben-Weber; and three sisters, Henrietta Jackson (Missouri), LaVerda Falkenburg-Priola (Florida), and Romona Zerr (Colorado Springs). In addition, she has eight grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by two children, Coleen (Pete) Leri and Tim Robben (infant son); a sister, Adelaide Kruse; and three brothers, Leo, Paul, and Arthur Zerr. She was an avid gardener, Bingo player, and bowler, and enjoyed "the slots" in Cripple Creek with family and friends, making crafts, and traveling the U.S. with her brother and sister-in-law, Arthur and JoVeta Zerr.Julie had a passion for the movie theater business and was the "face" of the Cinema 70 Theater for thirty-four years. She was always the "cashier" with the friendly smile that helped make that theater so "grand" in its days!Julie was a dedicated member and volunteer at Divine Redeemer Catholic Church in Colorado Springs.
