Kenneth "Ken" E. Kreps

Kenneth E. Kreps, age 84, of Colorado Springs and formerly of Kersey, passed away Wednesday, May 3, 2017 at Springs Village Care Center in Colorado Springs, Colorado.Ken was born in Kuner, Colorado to David Kreps, Sr. and Lydia Lesser on February 27, 1933.He graduated from Galeton High School in 1952 and that same year he married Dora Mae Dinges. They later divorced in 1980.He farmed in the Galeton area and then bought a larger dairy farm in Kersey, Colorado. Selling out in 1976, he moved to Greeley to pursue other adventures. He worked in the gold mines in Victor and Cripple Creek until moving to Colorado Springs to retire. He wanted to stay busy, so he worked part time at the Renaissance Festival every summer for over twenty years.Ken enjoyed watching the Denver Broncos, old western movies, listening to country music, gambling, and playing cards with his friends. He enjoyed all the things life had to offer.Ken is survived by his daughters, Barb (Hans) Kinn, Cindy (Ed) Robson, Janice (Chris) Deverell, and Brenda (Juan) Trujillo; brother, Robert Kreps of Greeley; grandchildren, Stacy, Christopher and Krista; great-grandchildren, Ashtyn and Brysen; and many nieces and nephews.He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Doris and Margaret; and brothers, Don and David (JR).Funeral Home:The Springs Funeral Services3115 East Platte AvenueColorado Springs, , COUS 80909
