Gregory "Greg" Roger Allen

Gregory Roger Allen, 55, passed away Sunday, April 23, 2017 in Colorado Springs, Colorado after a long, courageous battle with cancer.He was born on August 2, 1961 in Bessemer, Alabama to Charles Roger and Sylvia (Cummings) Allen.Greg was an avid Alabama football fan and a great player of the sport in his high school years at McAdory High School in McCalla, Alabama.He is preceded in death by his mother, Sylvia Cummings Allen on January 3, 2013; his father, Charles Roger Allen on November 27, 2012; and his three siblings, Jeffe Allen, Sherri Allen, and Shelli Gill.Greg is survived by his dedicated lifelong friend, Robin Largin of Colorado Springs; his children, Gregory Allen, II, JuLeigh Barry, and Dan Allen; and his grandchildren, Carson Barry, Brooklyn Allen, Matthew Allen, and Sadie Allen.A special thank you to Abode Hospice for their loving care and professional services, especially Christal.Private Graveside will be held in McCalla, Alabama at a later date.For God so Loved the World that he gave his only son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish, but have everlasting life.
