Alma Jo Griswold
March 1st, 1950 - December 10th, 2016
Alma Jo Griswold, born March 1, 1950, went home to our Lord on December 10, 2016, after a hard-fought battle with cancer. Wife, mother, grandmother, friend - it is hard to capture her larger-than-life essence in a few words. She lived life passionately, and touched the hearts of all those around her. Those who were fortunate enough to have known Alma can speak volumes of her love of family, her career of twenty-five years with AAFES, and her passion to help others. Alma is survived by her loving husband of forty-seven years, Larry Griswold, Sr.; daughter, Candy (Lawrence) Pravecek; son, Larry Allan (Roberta) Griswold, Jr.; her six grandchildren, Brianna, Madison, Lauren, Benjamin, Joseph, and Alexander; her sister, Martha Ann Davis; niece, Mary Keller; and the boys she raised as her own, Britton Day and Tony Tabaka. We will celebrate her life with a visitation, 4:00PM-8:00PM, with a Rosary at 7:00PM, Friday, December 16, 2016 at The Springs Funeral Services, 3115 East Platte Avenue, Colorado Springs, Colorado 80909. Mass of Christian Burial, 10:00AM, Saturday, December 17, 2016, at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 6455 Brook Park Drive, Colorado Springs, Colorado 80918. Burial to follow at Evergreen Cemetery.The family wishes to thank Pikes Peak Hospice at St. Francis Hospital, where loving donations can be made to the Pikes Peak Hospice Foundation in Alma's memory.
