Theodore "Ted" Douglas Jones

Theodore "Ted" D. Jones, age 79, passed away on May 14, 2016 at the Pikes Peak Hospice Residence in Colorado Springs, Colorado. He had retired from the United States Navy after more than twenty years of service and was a diesel mechanic.Theodore Douglas Jones was born on September 27, 1936 in Roswell, New Mexico to the late Francis and Opal (Gass) Jones. He grew up in Roswell and soon joined the Navy. He had served on ships that homeported on Midway Island, in Guam, Vietnam, San Francisco and San Diego. He was also stationed at Bremerton, Washington.Ted loved travel, golf and country western music. He was an avid reader and enjoyed Louis L'Amour novels. He was a gentle spirit with a warm heart. He will be dearly missed.He is survived by his sister; Linnie Corrine Stewart of Colorado Springs, his brothers; Frank L. Jones of Roswell, New Mexico and Will R. Jones of Alamogordo, New Mexico.
