Margaret Lynn Reed

Margaret Lynn Reed, age 53, a longtime resident of Colorado Springs died on March 12, 2016 at her mother's home. She was an FDIC Banking Investigator, a Domain Writer, a loving daughter, sister and friend.Margie was born on November 25, 1962 in Bloomington, Illinois to Don Eugene and Ethel Rose (Myers) Reed. She grew up in Chicago, Illinois and the family later moved to the Arkansas Valley in Colorado. They then moved to Pueblo where she was a 1980 graduate of South High School.She attended C.U. at Boulder and graduated from the University of Northern Colorado at Greeley with a Bachelors Degree in Business. Margie worked for the Bank of Boulder; The FDIC in Austin, Texas and Dallas, Texas; and the Arkansas Valley Credit Union. She moved to Colorado Springs in 2001.She worked briefly in the area for a Building Contractor and most recently had her own business creating, writing and selling website domains for internet customers.She is survived by her mother, E. Rose Reed of Colorado Springs; and her sister, Beth Reed of Colorado Springs. She also had many cousins, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Lewis LaVelle and Minnie Myers.Life Celebration Service, 2:00PM, Saturday, June 25, 2016, Bethel Lutheran Church Prayer Chapel, 4925 N. Farmingdale Drive, Colorado Springs, Colorado 80917. Burial will take place later at the Las Animas Cemetery in Las Animas, Colorado.
