Ryan, Eleanor D. ?Ellie,? 84, of St. Petersburg, died Friday November 21, 2003 at Edward White Hospital. Born in Fall River, Massachusetts, she came here in 1956 from Norfolk, Virginia. She was a founding member of Holy Family Catholic Church Parish and the Choir and was the first female lector for the church. She was a founding member and past president of Holy Family Catholic Church Women?s Guild and a member of the Parish Council. She was a volunteer for many organizations, including Hospice of the Florida Suncoast. She was a guest columnist for the St. Petersburg Times. She also wrote, produced, directed and performed in musical productions in the St. Petersburg area. She was a member of the Women?s Auxiliary of Fleet Reserves and an avid Devil Rays fan. Survivors include her husband of 63 years, Thomas M.; a son, Patrick, Philadelphia, PA; four daughters: Beth Shields, Brooksville, FL; Colleen Kettrick, Bellmore, NY; Michele Niemier, Safety Harbor, FL; and Susan Harrod, St. Petersburg; a brother, John E. Hampson, Novato, CA; eleven grandchildren; and ten great grandchildren. Anderson-McQueen Funeral Homes & Cremation Tribute Center-McLeod Chapel.
