Karen resided in Elbert, CO, but was originally from Chicago Ridge, Illinois. She always had a zest for life, a loving nature and caring disposition for all living creatures. She was passionate about acting, and had appeared in television and movies. Her true loves were Elvis Presley and Sylvester Stallone. She is survived by brothers and sisters, Edward (Donna) Sumner, William Sumner, Marilyn Sumner, Frances Sumner, Dolores (Charles) Heitz, Elizabeth (Daniel) Hudson, Kathleen (Mario) Fernandez, Marlene Eller, Elsie (Michael) Higgins, Richard (Catherine) Sumner and Sandra (Keith) Moss and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband, John Buss; her parents, Edward and Virginia Sumner; and sister, Marie (Willie) Burgess. A memorial service is being planned at Fairmount Willow Hills in Willow Springs, Illinois for a later date.
