Garry Andrew Rush

Garry Andrew Rush, 49, passed away January 3rd, 2015. He was a long time resident of Colorado and graduated from Wasson High School in 1984. Garry was an all-state gymnast in high school, and received a scholarship to Long Beach College in California. His athletic career ended shortly after his 1984 Olympic trials. He continued his education at York College and then finished his degree in Tennessee. He continued his passion for gymnastics by becoming a coach and owning his own gymnastics business in Springfield, Missouri and York, Nebraska, where he mentored and taught children in need. He returned to Colorado in 2001. Garry was a loving father to his daughters Kelisa and Brienna Rush. He is survived by his brothers Michael Rush (Janet) and Chad Rush (Erica), his mother Barbara and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Garry loved sharing his beautiful voice, his kind heart, and his faith whenever he could. Garry never met a stranger and was immediately loved by those he met. He will be sorely missed.
