Matthew J. Martin, 75, of Williston, VT / Colorado Springs, CO died December 23, 2013 surrounded by his loving family.Matt had an adventurous soul. He tried, and was good at, most sports. He especially liked hunting with his brothers-in-law out of the bus and trips to Las Vegas. His real passion was metal detecting and treasure hunting.Matt is survived by his wife of 52 years, Carol Lavalley Martin of Colorado Springs, CO; son, Ron and wife Amy Martin of Essex Junction, VT; daughter, Sindi and husband Mike Blanchette of Colorado Springs, CO; daughter-in-law, Cherrie Martin of Montpelier, VT; grandchildren, Amanda MacDonald of Colorado Springs, CO, Alicia Martin and Josh Muir of Georgia, VT, Ryan Martin of Essex Junction, VT, Merado Pacheco of Colorado Springs, CO, Desiree and Danielle Blanchette of Fountain, CO; great-granddaughters Kailie and Maylin of Georgia, VT; sisters, Harriet Desso of Cohoes, NY, and Shirley Smith of Winooski, VT; brothers and sisters-in-law, Terry and Jim Pecor of Milton, VT., Tom and Lynn Lavalley of Georgetown, MA, Mike and Claudette Lavalley of Milton, VT, Rick and Karen Lavalley of Kill Devil Hills, NC, Joy and Greg Rouifle of South Burlington, VT, Frank and Kellie Lavalley of Burlington, VT; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
