Nellie May Butler

Nellie M. Butler went home to be with the Lord December 14, 2012. She was born December 15, 1918 in Ramah, CO to Jessie Minnie Tripp, the sixth of seven children. Her childhood years were spent on the family homestead south of Simla, CONellie Married William M. Butler on June 26, 1937 in Colorado Springs, CO. They were blessed with three children: Janice, Gary, and Lonnie. Bill and Nellie lived for 50 years in southeastern Idaho where they farmed. Nellie worked for many years at the National Reactor Testing Station. She also supported Bill's love of fiddle music by playing the base guitar with the Idaho Old Time Fiddlers Group.Nellie was preceded in death by her parents, siblings, husband, all three children and grandson Martin. She is survived by three grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, 1 great, great grandchild, nieces and nephews and her daughter-in-law, Leigh Anne.A Celebration of Life service will be held at Circle Drive Baptist Church, 801 N. Circle Drive, at 10 a.m. on Wednesday December 19, 2012.
