Juanita Lois Burns passed away on March 7, 2012 after a brief battle with lung cancer. She was born August 31, 1938 in Eagle Point, OR to Charlie and Lois Cearley. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Dean Burns. She is survived by her son, Jeff and daughter-in-law Shelley, her two grandchildren, Ian and Kelli and her son Ron."Nita" loved books and owned Sunshine Books in Buena Park, CA for over 15 years. She was outspoken, strong willed and mentally sharp until her dying day. She moved to Colorado Springs January 2010 and loved living with all her friends at the Wynwood Assisted Living Facility. The family would like to thank the staff at both Wynwood Assisted Living Facility and Odyssey Hospice Foundation for making Nita's journey to be in the arms of Jesus a peaceful one.Funeral services are planned for 2:30 pm on Friday, March 16, 2012 at Forest Lawn Mortuary, 4471 Lincoln Ave, Cypress, CA 90630.
