Warren C. Stauffer October 22, 1920 - April 29, 2010 Warren Cloyd Stauffer was born on October 22, 1920, in Plainville, Illinois. He graduated from Quincy High School in 1939 and graduated from the Gem City Business College in Quincy, Illinois. Warren proudly served in the U.S. Army from November 5, 1942 until January 18, 1946. He was involved in the Leyte (Philippine) invasion in 1944. He married Awana Mae Ward on June 11, 1947. He passed away on April 29, 2010, in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Warren is survived by Awana, his wife of 62 years, and their two sons, Curtis Ward Stauffer of Colorado Springs, Jeffrey Mark Stauffer and wife Suzanne of Little Elm, Texas, and grandchildren Patrick and Brianne Stauffer, of Little Elm, Texas, along with many nieces and nephews. Warren is preceded in death by his parents, Alice (Dimmitt) Stauffer & Chester Arthur Stauffer, sister Myrtle, and brothers Loren and George. Warren owned Commercial Printing in Kansas City, Missouri from 1967 until 1975, when the family and business moved to Colorado Springs, Colorado. Commercial Printing operated until 2005, when he and his family all retired and closed the shop. Warren was 84 years old at that time. He was active in the Methodist Church, serving on many committees and singing in church choirs for 65 years. He was also involved in the Boy Scouts, Sertoma Club, and sang in a barbershop quartet club. Memorial services will be conducted at St. Paul's United Methodist Church at 2111 Carlton Avenue, Colorado Springs, on Friday, May 7th at 11:00am. Interment at Fort Logan National Cemetery, Denver, Colorado.
